    PEACELAND COLLEGE HOLDS 2025/2026 MATRICULATION

Peaceland College of Education, Enugu, on Saturday formally matriculated newly admitted students offered admission to study various courses in the 2025/2026 academic session. The students were charged to embrace discipline, excellence, and strong moral values throughout their academic journey.

The Provost of the College, Dr. Nwachukwu Kevin, while addressing the students during the matriculation ceremony, urged them to embrace positive change and maintain good conduct throughout their stay in the institution.

In his address, Dr. Nwachukwu described Peaceland College of Education, Enugu, as the best private College of Education in the South-East and one of the top ten private Colleges of Education in Nigeria. He congratulated the newly admitted students for securing admission into the college, describing the opportunity as a significant milestone in their lives.

The Provost charged the students to uphold discipline, hard work, and moral integrity throughout their academic journey. He reminded them that gaining admission into Peaceland College of Education is not merely about obtaining a certificate but about building character and developing the right values that prepare individuals for leadership and service to society.

Dr. Nwachukwu further emphasized that the college operates a zero-tolerance policy on examination malpractice, cultism, indecent dressing, drug abuse, and other social vices. He stressed that the institution remains committed to producing graduates who are not only academically sound but also morally upright and globally competitive.

He encouraged the students to take full advantage of the serene academic environment, modern facilities, and dedicated lecturers available in the college to excel in their chosen fields.

Speaking on the theme of his address, “Why Education?”, the Provost explained that the true essence of education goes beyond acquiring certificates. According to him, education is fundamentally about developing knowledge-driven and problem-solving skills.

“Employability depends largely on the skills you possess. Some of the fundamental skills you will acquire in this college include problem-solving, analytical thinking, creativity, decision-making, communication, and research skills,” he stated.

He noted that the college’s learning environment is structured to ensure that students acquire these skills across all aspects of campus life. The academic structure and examination system, he added, are designed to test students’ analytical and critical thinking abilities.

The Provost also described the college as a hub for networking, meaningful connections, and the development of social intelligence. He encouraged the students to actively participate in social and co-curricular activities that would help them discover and develop their talents, stressing that the institution does not celebrate mediocrity.

He further reminded them that the college maintains strict moral and disciplinary standards, warning against involvement in cultism, drug abuse, examination malpractice, cybercrime, and other social vices.

The ceremony formally admitted the new students into the academic community of Peaceland College of Education, Enugu, setting them on a path of academic excellence, character formation, and leadership.
